What is Fanship?

Fanship is a fun, real-time way to vote where effort and dedication matter. Every cause or thing you might want to vote for is represented by a ship. Instead of casting a single vote, you propel your favorite ship forward with every click. The more you push, the bigger your impact. Unlike a simple poll, dedicated supporters can make a real difference for the things they believe in.

How does it work?

Whenever you click a ship, you give it a small impulse that propels it forward until it eventually stops from drag. The ship that travels the greatest distance wins.

When you register, you get your own personal ship to track your progress. For every 10 meters it travels, you earn an upgrade - a bigger impulse, a motor that pushes for a while, or lower drag. Everything you do to other ships also happens to yours, so you don't have to push it yourself. To use an upgrade, select it from the side panel and click a ship to apply it.

As a registered user, you can also create any new ships or races you can think of.

Races

Any combination of ships can be entered into a race. Want to pit "Lawyers" against "Poison ivy"? Go for it!

Ships in a race aren't isolated from the general vote - propelling a ship anywhere affects its performance in all its races, and vice versa. But only the distance traveled since the race started counts towards the results.

The ship that traveled the farthest before the race ends (if it ends) wins.
